Insert table

The Table function enables you to insert a table at any position in the abstract text. For this the function must be activated by the organizer. If this is the case, the organizer determines how many tables are allowed and whether a number of characters are subtracted for each table used.

> Step 1: In the "Content" view on the right, select Add table. If the button is deactivated, the maximum number of allowed images/tables is reached.

> Step 2: Fill in the form in the new view "Create table":
  • Table shortcut: Your shortcut is inserted in the editor as a placeholder for the table, e.g. TAB01. The placeholder is then replaced by the table in the preview.
  • Table caption: Short description of the table.
  • Select number of columns and rows
  • Select table layout
  • Confirm with Create table and edit content

> Step 3: Fill table cells with contents and confirm with Save table content. When you save, you automatically return to the "Contents" page.

> Step 4: Place your mouse in the correct position in the text field where you want to insert the table.

> Step 5: Select the table icon directly above the text field and then select the table to be inserted in the dialog that opens. Confirm your selection with Ok.

> Step 6: In the text editor, your table shortcut is inserted surrounded by hashtags, e.g. #TAB01#. In this way, the system recognizes that it is a placeholder.
In case the table is to be positioned elsewhere in the text, you can change the position by cutting and pasting.

> Step 7: Open the "Preview" to check the inserted table.
