To avoid overloading the main menu with information, you can create pages with their own side menu.
Any number of sub-pages can be inserted into this side menu. You can group the sub-pages thematically using headings.
Note: Before you can assign subpages to a side menu, you must first create the subpages as a page.

Step 1: Creating subpages
1. Create a new page or open an existing page that is not to appear in the main menu but only via the submenu of the page to which they have been assigned.
2. Hide the subpage from the main menu.
Tick the Hide in main menu
option.
3. Save your changes withSave
to make further changes or Save and close
to return to the page overview and prepare further sub-pages if required.
The page will no longer appear in the main menu.
Step 2: Adding subpages to a page with a submenu
1. Open the page you want to add your subpages to, e.g. Information A–Z.
2. Add a submenu
Click Add submenu > Add new
below the text editor to create a submenu.
3. Define a heading
In the "Add heading" box, type a subject heading for the pages in your submenu.
Optional: Tick the box under "Hide heading" to hide the heading.
4. Add the desired subpages to your submenu.
Click Add subpages > Add new
to add subpages.
Select the required page from the drop down menu. You can search for the page title in the search box.
Repeat step 4 to add more subpages to this section.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 to add more thematically grouped subpages to the page.
5. Save your changes withSave
to make further changes or Save and close
to return to the page overview and prepare further sub-pages if required.
Customise the submenu: Sort, delete, change
1. Change the order of subpages
By clicking on the page in the "Position" column, you can move it using "drag and drop" and change the order.
After saving
, the subpages will appear in the new order.
2. Delete individual subpages.
You can delete subpages by ticking the box next to the subpage you want to remove from the submenu in the "Delete" column and clicking on Save
or Save and close
.
The page will be removed from the sub-menu, but will remain in the page overview.
3. Delete a submenu.
You can delete a sub-menu by ticking the box next to the heading of the sub-menu you wish to remove from the page in the "Delete column" and clicking Save
or Save and close
.
The submenu and any associated subpages will be removed from the menu page.
The pages themselves remain in the page overview.
Note: Each subpage can have its own submenus.
Submenus are only visible on the first level, i.e. the page to which the submenu is assigned.
We recommend that you do not create more than two levels of hierarchy.
