Numbering

Settings

You would like to give your presentations a consecutive numbering, e.g.:

  • 90 abstracts in the poster session are numbered P-01 to P-90

  • 6 presentations in session 1 are numbered S1-01 to S1-06

  • 10 keynote presentations are numbered K01 to K10

Navigate to
> Program planning
> Settings
> Numbering

Step 1: Select program items

Under "Filter programme items", select the program items you wish to number, e.g. all "Scientific sessions".

For example, you will get 10 sessions with 6 planned papers each.

Step 2: Activate automatic numbering

Note: The tick must be re-activated after each numbering run.

Advice: If automatic numbering is not activated, you can enter the numbers of the selected items manually and save them.

Step 3: Use application rules

To perform automatic numbering, use the application rules.

To use the application rules, you must have enabled auto-numbering (see Step 2).

The application rules provide the following editing options:

  1. Delete numbers.
    See below: Delete existing numbers

  2. Define separator and number of digits.
Use this to specify the format of the presentation numbers, e.g. set "Minus" for the separator and "Two digits" for the number of digits if this result is required: S1-04

  3. How do you want to number them?
    Specify here:

    A. At what level do you want the numbers to appear?

    – either session and presentation numbers

    – or only presentation numbers

    B. How will sequential numbers be assigned?

    – either numbering is done over the entire selection

    – or numbering within sessions

  4. Set Global Session No./Abbreviation

This allows you to set the session abbreviations or session numbers for the entire selection from which the presentation numbers are derived.

    – Either assign an identical session abbreviation for all sessions in your selection, e.g. s

    – or assign a session identifier with sequential numbering, e.g. S1, S2, S3, etc.

Examples

Consecutive numbering across sessions

You have 10 sessions in which 6 presentations are planned.
The 60 planned presentations should be given consecutive presentation numbers across all 10 sessions, e.g: S-01 to S-60

Application rule
After you have enabled automatic numbering (see step 2 above), adjust the application rules in the following places.

Sequential numbering within sessions

You have 10 sessions with 6 items each.
The 10 sessions should be numbered consecutively from S1 to S10.

The 6 planned presentations per session should be given consecutive presentation numbers within the sessions, e.g: S1-01 – S1-06,
S2-01 – S2-06, etc. up to S10-01 – S10-06.

Application rules
Once you have enabled automatic numbering (see step 2), adjust the application rules in the following places.
