Plan oral session
Program items
Once you have created a session, you can flexibly schedule abstracts, presentations and events.
The prerequisite for scheduling is that "Oral presentations (with times)" is selected in the session "Attributes".
1. Open the Schedule view
Navigate to
> Program planning
> Program list view
and select the "Schedule session" button:
or open the Session and select the "Schedule Session" tab.
2a. Load abstracts
> Select the "Show abstracts" button to see a list of available abstracts that you can schedule.
> Before loading the abstracts, you can use a filter to narrow down the selection to the abstracts you need, e.g.
only load "unscheduled" abstracts
only load abstracts on a specific topic and/or presentation type
After loading, you can search the abstracts by title, number or presenter name using the search field.
When viewing all abstracts, the abstracts that are already scheduled will have a white background and the session abbreviation in which the abstract is scheduled will be displayed.
2b. Create a new lecture or event
> Click the "Lecture" or "Event" button.
> Enter "Title" in the new window.
> Select Save
to assign the speaker in the next step.
> Select Save and Close
to assign the speaker later.
When you save and close the presentation/event, it will be inserted directly under the last item of the session.
Note: If there is not enough time under the last item of the session, the lecture/event will be added to the "Un-scheduled lectures" list to be scheduled later.
2c. Unplanned lectures list
The "Lectures|Events" tab gives you an overview of unplanned lectures and events that you have created in this or another session and that you have not yet added to the session schedule.
3. Adding presentations to the schedule
To schedule a session, you drag and drop abstracts, lectures or events into the schedule.
In the schedule, all inserted abstracts are automatically given a duration, which can be adjusted as required.
The grid allows you to schedule presentations to the minute. Each row represents one minute.
The duration of the presentation is based on the value entered in the corresponding field.
If you want to schedule a presentation with the correct duration at the start, change the value saved in the field before dragging it into the session schedule:

Changing presentation time
To change the duration of a scheduled presentation, do the following:
> Move the mouse to the double line at the bottom of the show.
> Hold down the mouse button.
> Shorten or lengthen the show by dragging the mouse to the new time position.
Changing the order of scheduled presentations
> Move the mouse to the top blue edge of the post.
> Hold down the mouse button.
> Change the position of the item by dragging the mouse to the new time position.
Switching between sessions
If you want to plan the next session immediately, you will find an overview of the sessions already created in the top right corner. Here you can search for the desired session and open the planning view by clicking on the associated work abbreviation.
