Add PDF file as page
Menu items and page content
In your role as editor, you can add pages with embedded files to the app menu. When the page is opened, the file opens directly in its own window.
Recommendation:
Include files in pages of type "Content" (instead of type "File") so that you can provide them with a little more context.
See: Creating a menu item/page with your own content
Navigate to > Menu > Pages
to see an overview list of the pages that already exist.
Click on the button Add new
to create a new page.
A dialogue for creating the new page opens:
1. Select page type
To create a page with an embedded file, select the page type "File".
This page type allows you to upload a file from your local hard drive. When opening the page in the app, the embedded file is opened, for example the abstract volume.
2. Name page
Your entry in the field "Name of menu item" appears in the app's navigation menu. The name should:
be short (approx. 30 characters)
be expressive and unambiguous.
3. Upload file
Click the button Browse
and select the file you want from your hard drive.
Note:
File format: PDF
Maximum file size: 5 MB

5. Change or delete a file
1. Change file:
To replace an already uploaded PDF file, simply select a new file from your local hard drive and save the change. It is not necessary to delete the old PDF file beforehand.
2. Delete file:
If you want to delete the file, select the Delete?
checkbox and save the change.
Note:
By default, all pages appear as a separate menu item in the app's menu bar.
However, they can also be assigned as a subpage of any menu item page.
See: Creating a page with subpages
Optional: Add menu icon
If your new page is a stand-alone menu item, add a menu icon to be displayed in the menu bar.
Optional: Set access authorisation
If you want to make your page accessible only to logged-in users of the app, switch to the "Access" tab to set an access permission for the page.
See: Adding access permission to a page
